2010 Volvo XC60

Volvo has discovered the meaning of a Crossover with their 2010 XC60. Attention grabbing, the XC60 lets the imagination take over and makes you wonder what this sleek, sporty and magnificent vehicle can really do. With a 3.0-Liter 6-Cylinder Turbocharged 281-Horsepower engine, the XC60 delivers a maximum of 295 pounder per feet of torque. The 3.2-Liter 6-Cylinder 235-Horsepower engine delivers 236 pounds per feet of torque. Both perform at low revs, all altitudes, and high temperatures. They are both equipped with a 6-Speed Geartronic Transmission that learns the drivers style of driving and then optimizes shift points according to that style.

For 2010 Volvo looked at the XC60 from a different angle. In the end, they ended up with a vehicle that has character traditional to Volvo and a style that is similar to that of a coupe. From the High Waistline of an SUV to the tucked in Roof line of a sports car, the XC60 is sure to be one that has a personality to match its driver.

The XC60 only gets better on the inside. Sit in the driver seat and enjoy the world around you through the Panoramic Sunroof. The interior combines many features to match the sleekness of the vehicles exterior. With two different audio options- the High Performance standard option and the available Premium Sound with Dynaudio- guarantees a continuous stream of music no matter where you may be going. Not only will you have amazing music all the time, but it will be in HD. To keep you safer on the road while using your cell phone, Volvo has included Bluetooth Hands-Free System Connectivity as well. Volvo decided to give the XC60 a more personal feeling with its optional contrasting colors and materials for the seats. The rear seats have Dual Outboard Two-Stage Integrated Booster Seats with Adaptive Seatbelts. The child not only benefits from being able to see out the window but is better protected with the geometry of the seatbelt, load limiter, and the Extended Inflatable Curtain. Volvo took into consideration the tendency for people to have allergies when they designed their Chrome- and Nickel-Free Interior. With this in mind, all textiles and upholsteries comply with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100- an international benchmark to ensure that textiles and leathers are tested for substances that are harmful or allergy inducing. The Interior Air Quality System senses impurities in the air and circulates the air through the Active Carbon Filter.

With safety in mind, Volvo includes Blind Spot Information System as an option for the XC60. The system uses camera-based technology to check the areas you cannot see while driving. The XC60 also comes with a Personal Car Communicator. With the aid of a heartbeat sensor, the device can detect if there is a possible intruder in your vehicle. This system works in conjunction with the Keyless Remote Control System which allows you to open and start your vehicle while your key remains in your pocket. The XC60 comes with Anti-Theft Protection, an integrated lockable load compartment hidden beneath the cargo floor. Roll-Over Stability Control helps to reduce the risk of the vehicle turning over during sudden movements. On long trips it is sometimes easy to loose concentration while driving. With Driver Alert Control and Lane Departure Warning Signal, the vehicle alerts the driver when they are losing concentration and are drifting over road marks for a reason that is not obvious. Adaptive Cruise Control comes with Collision Warning with Autobrake. Through the use of a Front-Mounted Radar Sensor and camera, the XC60 can detect a vehicle in front of your car. If both systems determine a frontal collision is unavoidable, the system is activated. If the risks are less, the driver is alerted and the brakes are pre-charged. A Pre-Prepared Restraints System collects information through the use of a sensor. It then prepares the airbags and seatbelts for the forces expected in low and mid-severe frontal accidents.
